The Founder behind the brand.
Assil Skaiky, Founder and CEO of Moustadaam who’s been featured in Artell’s magazine, on Global Academy’s podcast and live TV interviews, created the brand to address the environmental harm of fast fashion.
Committed to sustainability, she not only designs slow fashion pieces but also educates clients on sustainable practices. Skaiky graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in Fashion and Textiles. She spent six years in Luxury Retail and Styling, understanding the market and finding a niche between high street and Luxury Fashion. Her knowledge of fast fashion's dangers and her luxury market experience inspired Moustadaam.
With a creative flair, Skaiky often customized her clothes, from adding buttons to feathers. Recently, she crafted showstopper pieces inspired by her Lebanese Palestianian culture, leading to Moustadaam's inception. Her goal is to create elegant, bespoke pieces that make women feel unique and powerful.
To address the high costs associated with sustainable fashion, Assil introduced a rental service. She believes that event wear doesn't need to be owned but to simply be enjoyed.
Recognizing the busy lives of women in London, Moustadaam offers a convenient service by bringing pieces directly to clients. This ensures a perfect fit before the rental period begins, saving clients the hassle of arranging their looks.
Rent the service today and try out Moustadaam.
